We had a great turn out 25 neighbors. Introduced Bradley Point South Fire Department Station 12, Capt. Campbell, Capt. Walker, AFF Nestead, MFF Faughey, AFF Wallace, MFF Love, AFF Carcione, MFF McFadden. They talked about what the fire station offers: Free blood pressure testing Safe Place - you can go there if you are being followed, if you have a lost child, if you have been attacked. They will get the help you need. Free home fire safety check - smoke detectors check, if you have any fire hazards in or around the house. They offer fire station tours for children and safety classes. If this is something you would be interested doing please contact me and I will give you the information.
Officer Bryan Harrell spoke about the crime in our community. The past 3 months there was 6 part 1 crimes, which are theft or domestic, only one in our neighborhood. The police include the whole Bradley Blvd. in with the 6. We, Bradley Point, is doing a great job in keeping the crime down. We asked Office Harrell if we could have more patrol in our neighborhood and check on all the speeding.
Traffic Light on 17
I received email from Niel Dubberly, District Traffic Operations Manager, they are going to be doing another traffic study the week of August 10th which is the first full week of school. I did explain to him that there will be more homes built in the near furture. Also, the right turn lane project 17 northbound has been designed and submitted to the Atlanta office. No approval yet they are hoping to hear from them soon.
